Worked on the mixxxdj/mixxx repository to deliver a targeted fix for the Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500, addressing a crossfader mapping issue that previously limited the hardware’s input range. Using JavaScript and leveraging embedded systems and hardware integration expertise, the solution ensured the crossfader now aligns precisely with the controller’s full 0-100% range. This adjustment improved live DJ performance reliability by eliminating edge-case mis-mapping and enhancing user experience. The work included thorough documentation of the root cause and resolution, supporting future maintenance and onboarding of new hardware mappings, and demonstrated careful debugging and maintainable, traceable commit practices throughout the process.
