Developed and delivered a unified Time Plugin for the alibaba/spring-ai-alibaba repository, enabling retrieval of local time by default timezone, specific timezone ID, and city-based queries. The work involved designing a configurable plugin with a dedicated time formatting utility and a bean for city-based time, all implemented in Java using Spring Boot. To support these features, the codebase was reorganized and refactored for improved maintainability and extensibility. Documentation and comments were standardized in English to enhance clarity and onboarding. This foundation supports timezone-aware scheduling and internationalization, addressing global time handling requirements within the project’s evolving architecture.
