Worked on the UKGovernmentBEIS/inspect_evals repository to migrate SimpleQA paper configurations to a unified single-file run-config format, replacing the previous multi-step invocation process. This transition streamlined configuration management, reduced complexity, and improved reproducibility and auditability for AI evaluation workflows. Leveraged Python and YAML to update both code paths and documentation, ensuring compatibility with the latest inspect_ai tooling and continuous integration requirements. Addressed configuration migration for key YAML files while preserving provenance for compliance. The work focused on AI integration and configuration management, closing related issues and enhancing usability by enabling model roles to load directly from the new configuration format.
