During December 2024, Pittle updated the aws/credentials-fetcher repository by migrating its Dockerfiles to use AWS-owned ECR Ubuntu base images for both Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04. This work focused on containerization and DevOps practices, leveraging Dockerfile expertise to align the build process with AWS supply chain governance. By sourcing base images directly from trusted AWS repositories, Pittle improved the security, reliability, and maintainability of the build pipeline while reducing reliance on external sources. The migration was delivered through two well-documented commits, enhancing traceability and ensuring that future builds benefit from a more robust and auditable container foundation.
