Worked on the aws/credentials-fetcher repository to migrate Dockerfiles from external Ubuntu images to AWS-owned ECR Ubuntu base images for both Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04. This change improved build security and reliability by ensuring that images are sourced directly from trusted AWS repositories, reducing reliance on third-party sources and aligning with AWS supply chain governance. The work focused on containerization and DevOps practices, utilizing Dockerfile as the primary language. Clear, traceable commit messages documented the migration, enhancing maintainability and transparency for future development. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on this targeted feature improvement.
