Worked on the percona/everest repository to enhance frontend security and maintainability by implementing external link security hardening and standardizing copyright headers. Focused on closing a UI security gap by ensuring all external links included the 'noreferrer' attribute, reducing potential vulnerabilities. Used React, TypeScript, and Material UI to update the codebase, unifying license headers under Apache 2.0 for consistent compliance and easier future audits. The work established a baseline for codebase standardization, streamlining future maintenance. No bugs were fixed during this period, but the feature delivered improved security practices and set a foundation for ongoing code quality improvements.
