Worked on the prophecy-build-tool repository to deliver a security-focused maintenance release centered on dependency management and Python packaging. Upgraded the google-cloud-secret-manager library from version 2.16.2 to 2.22.x in both requirements.txt and setup.py, addressing security vulnerabilities and enabling access to newer features. Managed the release process by incrementing the package version from 1.2.43 to 1.2.44 and preparing release artifacts. Validated build and packaging changes to ensure compatibility with the updated dependency. This work reinforced the project’s security posture and maintainability, leveraging skills in Python, release management, and dependency management to align with governance and long-term stability.
