Prateek Sharma focused on enhancing code quality in the meilisearch/meilisearch-java repository by implementing a comprehensive code formatting consistency pass for the core Java classes IndexStats and Stats. Using Java and leveraging code formatting best practices, Prateek aligned the codebase with project style guidelines, improving readability and maintainability without introducing any functional changes. This work addressed potential review friction and established a foundation for safer future refactors and feature development. Although no customer-facing features or bug fixes were released during this period, the emphasis on code formatting and standards alignment contributed to the long-term health and sustainability of the project.
