Worked on deployment and observability improvements across open-telemetry/opentelemetry.io and grafana/alloy, focusing on practical enhancements for onboarding and metric reliability. Added an otel-collector-config.yaml example to streamline Docker-based OpenTelemetry Collector setups, reducing user friction and support needs. In grafana/alloy, addressed a version reporting issue by injecting the Beyla version into the Alloy binary at build time using Go and build system techniques, ensuring accurate metric reporting for beyla_build_info. Supported these changes with targeted tests and documentation updates, leveraging skills in Go, Docker, and DevOps to deliver maintainable solutions that improve reliability and clarity for downstream users and dashboards.
