Worked on enhancing diagnostics reporting for the yugabyte/yugabyte-db repository, focusing on improving security and transparency in data collection. Developed and updated documentation using Markdown to clarify that only non-sensitive cluster configuration flags are collected during diagnostics, addressing concerns around data privacy. Updated the default diagnostics reporting URL to use HTTPS, ensuring secure transmission of diagnostic data. The work aligned with the requirements of SE-765 and was delivered as a single feature within the month. Emphasized clear communication and thorough documentation practices, contributing to a more secure and user-aware diagnostics process for YugabyteDB users and administrators.
