Worked on backend stability and code quality across distributed systems, focusing on the citusdata/citus and awslabs/aws-c-common repositories. In citusdata/citus, addressed critical runtime reliability by implementing defensive programming in C, adding NULL checks and warning logs to prevent crashes in the causal clock and background task modules. For awslabs/aws-c-common, contributed a new continuous integration feature using CMake and GitHub Actions, integrating clang-tidy for code quality and automating code coverage and stale issue management. Enhanced issue templates to streamline bug reporting and feature requests, supporting maintainability and release readiness. Prioritized robust, maintainable code and improved developer workflows throughout.
