This approach involved updating Python-based package management logic and CMake definitions to conditionally set build flags, thereby increasing portability and reproducibility across environments. The work established consistent variant handling across repositories, aligning with project requirements and facilitating more customizable deployment options for users relying on Spack’s package management and build system infrastructure.
