During October 2025, Pat Lewis focused on optimizing continuous integration workflows for the GEOS-DEV/GEOS repository. Pat identified and removed the long-running yieldAcceleration test, which had been extending CI cycle times and consuming excessive build resources. By updating the CI configuration and validating the stability of the remaining test suite, Pat improved both the efficiency and maintainability of the pipeline. The work was implemented using Python and leveraged skills in continuous integration and automated testing. While no user-facing features were released, Pat’s efforts enhanced repository reliability and provided clearer commit traceability, reflecting a thoughtful approach to engineering process improvement.
