Developed enhanced hardware state monitoring for Cumulus devices in the librenms/librenms repository, focusing on proactive network maintenance. Leveraging PHP and SNMP, implemented automated discovery and reporting of hardware states for power supplies, fans, and temperature sensors. The solution mapped OID index patterns to specific hardware resources, enabling accurate identification and status reporting of each component as OK, UNAVAILABLE, or FAILED. This feature improved visibility into device health and streamlined monitoring workflows by integrating hardware state data directly into the existing dashboard. The work demonstrated depth in hardware sensors integration and network monitoring, addressing reliability and uptime for managed infrastructure.
