Worked on the LadybirdBrowser/ladybird project, focusing on refining user interface consistency within the browser’s forms. Addressed a subtle but impactful issue by fixing the vertical alignment of input placeholders, ensuring they matched the positioning of text inputs across various controls. This involved precise adjustments to height and overflow properties in the LibWeb rendering engine, using C++ and HTML to align placeholder and input text visually. The solution improved the predictability and accessibility of input fields, reducing user confusion and enhancing the overall user experience. The work demonstrated attention to detail in front end development and cross-element UI reliability.
