During December 2025, Phoenix Hale developed an interactive desktop environment installer and manager script for the ChrisTitusTech/linutil repository. The solution leveraged shell scripting and Linux package management to enable users to install or uninstall multiple desktop environments and window managers through an intuitive menu-driven interface. By unifying installation and removal workflows, Phoenix reduced manual steps and potential errors, streamlining system administration tasks. The script improved onboarding and user experience by simplifying the setup process for desktop environments. While the work focused on a single feature, it demonstrated depth in system automation and addressed the need for consistent, efficient environment management on Linux systems.
