Worked on the k3s-io/kube-router repository to enhance reliability and maintainability in Kubernetes environments. Addressed a configuration management issue by ensuring that in-cluster configuration is prioritized when kube-router is started with the --master flag but without --kubeconfig, allowing the host value to be correctly overridden. Improved code readability by refining linting practices, specifically disabling a gocritic warning for an if-else chain without altering functionality. Utilized Go for development and leveraged linting tools to support future maintainability. The work focused on targeted bug fixes and code quality improvements, laying a foundation for safer deployments and streamlined future changes.
