During January 2025, Qhana focused on stabilizing the Docker-based packaging workflow for the qhana-plugin-runner repository. Addressing a critical issue with dependency management, Qhana identified and fixed a missing poetry-plugin-export dependency in the Dockerfile, enabling reliable poetry export functionality within the containerized environment. The solution involved updating the Dockerfile to synchronize pip installations with Poetry plugin requirements, ensuring that container builds are reproducible and deployments proceed smoothly. Working primarily with Dockerfile and Python, Qhana’s contribution improved the robustness of the build process. The work demonstrated a targeted, in-depth approach to resolving packaging issues in a production deployment context.
