Worked on stabilizing the Mooncake build system by addressing a critical compile error that was blocking successful builds and continuous integration. The solution involved adjusting GNU C++ compiler flags, deprecating etcd as the metadata server to streamline deployment, and correcting the order of macro definitions in type headers. Additionally, ensured proper inclusion of likely and unlikely macros to improve optimization hints and prevent runtime issues. All changes were implemented in C++ and CMake, with careful code review and traceability through issue tracking. This targeted bug fix improved build reliability and supported the readiness of upcoming Mooncake releases in the fzyzcjy/Mooncake repository.
