Developed a direction-based profit reporting feature for the freqtrade/freqtrade repository, enhancing the Telegram bot interface to allow users to view profits filtered by long or short positions. This work involved extending the existing /profit command to support direction filtering, enabling traders to gain clearer insights into their trading performance. The implementation was carried out using Python, with a focus on robust API development and comprehensive unit testing to ensure reliability and maintainability. By improving the granularity of profit visibility, the feature addressed a practical need for more detailed trade analysis, contributing to the overall stability and usability of the platform.
