Worked on enhancing the Hermes agent’s reliability by focusing on test stability within the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository. Addressed a key issue in custom provider tests by correcting the mock target path for the fetch_api_models function, ensuring accurate test coverage and reducing flakiness. Leveraged Python and advanced mocking techniques to force ImportError scenarios, which enabled robust testing of the input() fallback logic in model flow paths. No new user-facing features were introduced during this period, as the primary emphasis was on improving maintainability, traceability, and confidence in the testing infrastructure for the agent’s custom provider functionality.
