Worked on the github-mcp-server repository to strengthen MCP client-server integration and improve error transparency. Developed a robust MCP initialize handshake in mcpcurl using Go, ensuring reliable command execution and accurate tool discovery, which reduced silent failures and improved automation reliability. Enhanced backend error handling by updating JSON-RPC responses to surface descriptive error messages, making debugging more efficient and providing clearer feedback to users. Focused on API development and thorough testing, these changes accelerated issue diagnosis and contributed to a smoother developer experience.
