June 2025 monthly summary for openshift/release focusing on CNV 4.19 CI deployment and test step fix in CI pipeline. Delivered fixes to openshift-virtualization-tests step, updated CI config to deploy CNV 4.19 from candidate channel, adjusted image tags, and renamed job configurations to use the master branch, ensuring latest candidate CNV 4.19 is deployed and tested. This work improved CI reliability, shortened feedback loops for CNV releases, and strengthens release validation.

March 2025 (openshift-cnv/cnv-ci): Delivered Release Bundle Setup for Version 4.19 by adding a new 4.19 bundle to master and updating the configuration/build files to include the bundle. This work establishes the release-ready baseline for the 4.19 cycle and enables earlier CI validation by ensuring the bundle is present in the mainline. No major bugs fixed this month; the commit 37dc264a29ef9c9a6429082d49c5c5f1043518a8 (Add 4.19 bundle to master) implements the change and aligns with the release plan. Impact: reduces release risk, accelerates validation, and improves build reproducibility. Technologies/skills demonstrated: Git version control, CI/CD configuration, release engineering, and build/bundle management.

December 2024: CNV CI improvements in openshift-cnv/cnv-ci delivering deployment configurability and GP3 infrastructure support. Implemented CNV deployment configurability by adding CNV_VERSION and CNV_SUBSCRIPTION_CHANNEL environment variables to deploy-cnv.sh and introduced kubevirt-tier1-gp3.json for GP3 tier-1 CI configuration. Commits: 808dde756c48e934eeb36c137fcdf626a7f27c2c (Add the option to overwrite cnv version and channel) and 610f8f2bcf7988e1b9b678f7be547d812ec05f0f (Add kubevirt-tier1-gp3.json). No major bugs fixed this month; focus was on delivering configurable deployment and infrastructure config to improve reproducibility, testing coverage, and performance visibility in CI.
