Updated Prow configuration to change the default pull request merge method from squash to merge, enabling a more auditable and transparent commit history. Implemented a periodic rebase bot using YAML and DevOps practices to automatically align the downstream mcp-lifecycle-operator with its upstream counterpart, incorporating authentication and Slack-based alerting for observability. These changes reduced manual intervention, minimized drift between repositories, and improved release reliability, demonstrating a focus on CI/CD automation and operational visibility within a complex release engineering workflow.
