During April 2025, Radu Anastase focused on enhancing accessibility within the jitsi/jitsi-meet repository by improving the semantic structure of UI overlays. He implemented explicit aria-level attributes for heading elements in components such as PageReloadOverlay and DeviceStatus, ensuring better compatibility with screen readers and clearer heading hierarchies for assistive technologies. Working primarily with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, Radu aligned his changes with WCAG accessibility guidelines to reduce ambiguity in the user interface. While the scope of work was targeted, his contributions addressed inclusivity and reliability, resulting in a more accessible front-end experience for users relying on assistive tools.
