Worked on the openshift/release repository to deliver an enhancement to the end-to-end test skip logic, focusing on improving CI efficiency. Updated the skip_if_only_changed configuration using YAML to recognize additional file patterns, enabling the CI pipeline to bypass WA e2e tests when changes do not impact relevant files. This adjustment reduced unnecessary test executions, accelerated feedback cycles, and optimized resource usage within the DevOps workflow. The work demonstrated skills in CI/CD pipeline configuration, pattern-based test selection, and collaborative change management using Git. The contribution addressed a targeted need for more efficient automated testing without introducing new bug fixes.
