During October 2025, Srizym contributed to the kubernetes/kubernetes repository by enhancing the IP Allocator to support CIDR-aware IP allocation. They implemented CIDR filtering to ensure only valid IPs within each CIDR are counted, addressing allocation accuracy in multi-CIDR environments. To prevent allocation errors, Srizym added overflow protection for free IP calculations and introduced comprehensive tests and metrics to validate allocator behavior across multiple CIDRs. Working primarily with Go and leveraging expertise in Kubernetes, backend development, and network programming, Srizym’s work improved the reliability, scalability, and observability of IP allocation, supporting safer cluster growth and more robust networking operations.
