Worked on the aws/sagemaker-python-sdk repository to deliver a dynamic output handling feature for EMRStep, enabling users to define output paths that can be accessed by subsequent steps in EMR pipelines. The implementation introduced output_args to the EMRStep configuration, improving workflow flexibility and user control. Collaborated closely with another contributor to ensure the feature’s design and testing were robust. Comprehensive unit tests were added to validate the correctness of output_args and prevent regressions. The work focused on Python for back end development and unit testing, emphasizing maintainability and extensibility without addressing major bug fixes during this period.
