Worked on improving observability for Inngest-integrated workflows in the mastra repository by addressing a metrics tracking issue where workflows with explicit IDs appeared as 'unknown' in dashboards. Implemented a targeted fix in TypeScript, adding the entityName to root span creation so that workflow names are accurately reflected in monitoring tools. This change aligned Inngest’s metrics behavior with the core workflow observability standards, enhancing the reliability of operational dashboards. The update included thorough validation through existing tests and planned manual verification, as well as updates to release documentation and changelogs, demonstrating a methodical approach to full stack development and observability.
