During the month, contributed to the intelowlproject/IntelOwl repository by developing a thread-safe implementation of the get_root() function, ensuring deterministic ordering of root nodes in concurrent environments. This work addressed potential data integrity issues by enhancing logging to surface cases where multiple roots are detected, supporting easier debugging and maintenance. The approach included updating and refactoring unit tests to validate the new behavior, using mocks and raw SQL to reliably reproduce edge cases within CI constraints. The project leveraged Django for backend development and Python for implementation, with additional focus on code quality through formatting and test reliability improvements.
