Over a two-month period, contributed two major features to Firebase’s open-source projects, focusing on reliability and developer experience. In firebase/firebase-js-sdk, developed an intelligent log transport mechanism for Performance Monitoring using JavaScript and Web APIs, optimizing payload delivery with sendBeacon and dynamic batch sizing via remote configuration. Later, in firebase/firebase-tools, delivered the Firebase Crashlytics Debugging Toolkit using TypeScript and Node.js, enabling enhanced crash triage through note management, detailed issue retrieval, and device analytics within the CLI. The work emphasized efficient API integration, remote configuration, and robust unit testing, addressing both performance and debugging needs without introducing new bugs.
