Worked on the jellyfin/jellyfin-desktop repository to enhance the Windows deployment process by improving the setup.bat script. Focused on hardening the extraction of the mpv library and introducing fallback mechanisms for tool installations, the work aimed to reduce installation failures and improve reliability for first-time Windows users. Utilized Windows batch scripting and automation techniques to streamline software installation and minimize support requirements. The approach emphasized deployment resilience by addressing potential points of failure in the setup process. This contribution demonstrated depth in scripting and automation, resulting in a more robust and user-friendly installation experience for the Jellyfin Desktop application.
