Focused on improving the doctor command’s handling of shell profile permission issues, implementing logic to treat permission-related failures as optional repairs rather than hard errors. Differentiated between specific error types such as EACCES, EPERM, and EROFS to provide users with more precise feedback and robust diagnostics. Applied these improvements consistently across install and upgrade flows to minimize user disruption. Utilized Node.js, TypeScript, and full stack development skills, with an emphasis on testing to ensure resilient and user-friendly error handling.
