Worked on the ohcnetwork/care_fe repository to deliver foundational localization improvements for the frontend. Focused on replacing hardcoded UI strings in both the SearchInput component and the useFileManager hook with i18n-enabled strings, enabling the application to support multiple languages. Utilized React and TypeScript to implement these changes, ensuring that translation keys are now sourced from dedicated localization resources. This approach established the groundwork for a broader localization rollout and streamlined future translation workflows. By introducing these updates, the project reduced ongoing localization maintenance costs and positioned the codebase for easier expansion to additional languages using JSON-based translation files.
