Worked on the Dynatrace/dynatrace-operator repository to enhance monitoring and reliability by implementing an ActiveGate liveness probe. This feature ensures that ActiveGate workloads remain responsive and operational within Kubernetes environments, directly addressing reliability concerns for backend systems. The technical approach involved integrating a liveness probe into the ActiveGate configuration, leveraging Go for backend development and Kubernetes operator patterns to manage workload health. Throughout the process, changes were clearly documented with explicit commit messages and linked pull requests, improving traceability and review efficiency. The work demonstrated practical skills in Go, Kubernetes, and backend reliability engineering, focusing on measurable operational improvements.
