Contributed to the gdtk-uq/gdtk repository by developing and refining scientific computing tools for aerodynamics and mesh processing workflows. Delivered features such as OpenFOAM integration groundwork, a deform-grid command using IDW-based deformation, and a loads2vtk utility for converting simulation data to VTK format. Enhanced numerical precision in finite-difference computations by updating data formatting to exponential representation with 18 significant digits. Applied C++, Lua, and Python to implement backend logic, command-line interfaces, and data conversion utilities. Focused on code modularity, debugging support, and compatibility improvements, addressing both feature development and bug fixes to streamline simulation, visualization, and optimization processes.
Monthly performance summary for 2026-04 focused on delivering business-valued numerical precision improvements in the gdtk-uq/gdtk repository. This month’s key feature delivers higher numerical fidelity for finite-difference derivative computations by upgrading the float formatting in solution data to exponential representation with 18 significant digits, addressing accuracy issues in derivative-based analyses.

April 2025 (2025-04) monthly report for gdtk-uq/gdtk: Implemented an end-to-end visualization aid by delivering the loads2vtk command in the lmr module to convert Eilmer surface loads into VTK format. The tool supports unstructured grids and reads from the latest available loads directory, enabling quick visualization and analysis. A compatibility fix was applied by removing an unreachable break in loads2vtk to resolve compilation issues with older ldc compilers, ensuring stable builds without altering runtime behavior.
