Worked on the elastic/official-images repository to deliver a targeted feature focused on dependency management and container stability. Upgraded the Storm library to version 2.8.8, ensuring compatibility across both JRE 17 and JRE 21 environments. The approach involved updating container image metadata and tags, validating cross-runtime support, and enhancing the security and maintainability of the images. Leveraged skills in version control and dependency management to streamline the upgrade process without introducing regressions. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, as the primary emphasis was on forward compatibility and preparing the container images for future Java runtime updates.
