Worked on the rmit-nct/hub repository to enhance UI consistency and streamline the codebase. Focused on front end development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, the developer removed an unused EOH sponsor image and migrated all icon imports to the react-icons library. This approach standardized visual elements across components, reducing visual drift and simplifying future UI updates. The code maintenance efforts improved maintainability and made onboarding easier by establishing consistent UI patterns. Although the work spanned a single feature over one month, the changes addressed long-term developer experience and set a foundation for more efficient updates and collaboration within the codebase.
