Worked on the RedHatInsights/insights-remediations repository to enhance the reliability of remediation workflows by addressing critical startup and data handling issues. Focused on backend development using Node.js and JavaScript, the work involved mitigating a race condition during application startup by introducing a delay to ensure the database was fully initialized before further processing. Additionally, implemented null-safety checks for database query results, specifically for playbook_runs, to prevent errors when expected data was absent. These targeted improvements strengthened the resilience of the remediation pipeline, reduced error states during startup, and contributed to more predictable and stable application behavior in production environments.
