Worked on improving build reliability for the PowerDNS/pdns repository, focusing on the DNSDist component’s macOS build process. Addressed a persistent issue with install_name_tool path handling, implementing a targeted bug fix that reduced macOS-specific build failures and improved overall stability. The approach involved refining build scripts and ensuring consistency across platforms, which helped decrease CI noise and streamline the release process. Utilized Shell scripting and build system expertise to align builder-support helpers, particularly in install_quiche.sh, with cross-platform requirements. The work emphasized careful scripting and system integration, contributing to a more robust and maintainable build pipeline for DNSDist.
