During March 2026, mobb-github-bot@redhat.com developed an automated AWS ECR token refresh solution for the k8s-operatorhub/community-operators repository. By building and integrating the ecr-secret-operator (v0.5.1), they enabled Kubernetes clusters to automatically refresh AWS ECR authentication tokens and update image pull secrets before expiry. This approach leveraged YAML for configuration and demonstrated skills in AWS integration, Kubernetes, and operator development. The automation replaced manual credential refresh processes, reducing maintenance overhead and minimizing the risk of downtime due to expired tokens. The work addressed a clear operational need and provided a robust, maintainable workflow for continuous container image access.
