Worked on the oblien/openship repository, focusing on improving the Email Attachment flow by addressing a memory management issue. Implemented a fix that revokes blob URLs when attachments are opened in popups, ensuring proper cleanup even if window.open fails or is blocked by popup blockers. This approach aligned attachment handling with existing download helper patterns, promoting consistent resource management across the frontend. The solution reduced potential memory usage and improved application stability, particularly in scenarios where popups are restricted. Utilized React, TypeScript, and Browser APIs to deliver this targeted bug fix, demonstrating attention to detail in resource lifecycle management within the codebase.
