Worked on the DefinitelyTyped/DefinitelyTyped repository to enhance the GeocodeV6Request API by extending its proximity type to accept MapiRequestCoordinates, enabling more robust and flexible geocoding queries. The approach involved updating TypeScript type definitions and collaborating with the Mapbox SDK to ensure compatibility and correctness. Comprehensive tests were added to validate the new proximity type handling, focusing on reliability and alignment with expected geocoding behavior. This work addressed a specific proximity-type issue, ensuring that the API met business requirements for accurate location queries. The project demonstrated skills in API development, testing, and TypeScript, with attention to detail in type safety.
