During April 2024, Southorange0929 expanded platform support for the cloudflare/boring repository by implementing OpenHarmony cross-platform build capabilities. This work involved updating the build configuration for cross-compilation, integrating platform-specific headers, and extending binding generation to accommodate the new environment. Using Rust and system programming skills, Southorange0929 also addressed documentation gaps by clarifying ASN.1 time handling on musl, specifically detailing the i32 to i64 conversion for newer musl versions to prevent misimplementation. The contributions improved build reliability and maintainability, provided clearer technical guidance, and demonstrated a thoughtful approach to cross-platform development and technical documentation within the Rust ecosystem.
