The work involved implementing conditional logic in TypeScript to accommodate differences in extension availability, particularly for vscode-tree-sitter-query, ensuring a consistent development environment regardless of editor choice. Configuration and documentation updates were made using Markdown to streamline onboarding and clarify setup steps for new contributors. This feature reduced friction in the onboarding process, improved cross-editor consistency, and reinforced the project’s developer tooling, enabling contributors to set up and work efficiently across both VSCode and VSCodium environments.
