During February 2026, Dmitriy Matveev contributed to the qbittorrent/qBittorrent repository by developing a macOS-specific user experience enhancement. He implemented a new setting that allows users to toggle the display of the speed indicator in the macOS dock, addressing user preferences for interface customization. Using C++ for both UI development and software preferences management, Dmitriy ensured that the toggle state persists across sessions by integrating robust preference handling. The update included seamless UI adjustments to reflect the user’s choice, maintaining consistency with macOS dock indicators. This work demonstrated focused depth in platform-specific feature development and persistent state management.
