Over a two-month period, contributed to the atlanhq/application-sdk repository by delivering two backend features focused on data engineering and API development. Built incremental extraction capabilities for Atlan connectors, enabling SQL and REST/GraphQL sources to update data efficiently while reducing system load. This work incorporated Python-based guardrails, feasibility checks, and monitoring metrics to ensure reliability and maintainability. Additionally, standardized preflight response handling for the SageV2 widget, aligning response structures and improving UI feedback for partial or failed checks. Emphasized disciplined software architecture, robust API integration, and unit testing practices, resulting in enhanced data freshness and more consistent user experiences.
In May 2026, delivered a targeted feature improvement in the application-sdk to standardize preflight responses for the SageV2 widget, aligning response shapes, formatting success/failure messages, and enhancing partial-check handling to improve UI reliability.

April 2026: Delivered Incremental extraction for Atlan connectors across SQL and REST/GraphQL, introducing an incremental extraction skill with guardrails, feasibility checks, and monitoring metrics to enable efficient, reliable data updates. Implemented via the incremental-migrate skill (commit 22c91f4a57ce5600fba8e81f2b3de0fa44a48ba9) (#1303). This work reduces full data pulls and minimizes load on source systems, improving data freshness and system reliability. No major bugs were reported this month; the focus was on feature delivery, observability, and maintainability. Technologies demonstrated include cross-connector incremental architecture, guardrails and feasibility checks, metrics instrumentation, and disciplined Git practices.
