During February 2025, R. Lueder focused on stabilizing Kibana plugin development in the YulNaumenko/kibana repository by addressing a critical compatibility issue with React 18. Leveraging skills in build systems, configuration management, and JavaScript development, Lueder resolved a blocker in the plugin generation workflow by introducing the REACT_18 environment variable to the kbn-plugin-helpers Bazel configuration. This technical adjustment enabled both CI and local plugin creation to proceed without errors, reducing build-time failures and streamlining the development process. The work demonstrated a targeted approach to infrastructure reliability, with depth in JavaScript and TypeScript applied to real-world build tooling challenges.
