During May 2026, work focused on enhancing the haikuports/haikuports repository by developing two new GUI applications, Fireminipro and minipro-gui, as user-friendly frontends for the Minipro CLI. Using CMake for cross-platform development and shell scripting, the developer upgraded Minipro to version 0.7.4 to maintain compatibility with the latest features. Attention was given to code quality through the removal of trailing whitespace and the application of lint fixes, improving maintainability and consistency. These efforts streamlined user interaction with Minipro, simplified command-line operations, and contributed to smoother packaging and deployment processes within the haikuports ecosystem.
