Developed and delivered the VirtualMachine Start-on-Boot feature for the netbox-community/netbox repository, enabling automatic startup of virtual machines when the hypervisor boots. This work involved updating the backend Django models, serializers, and REST API endpoints, as well as modifying frontend forms and templates using HTML and Python to support the new configuration option. The feature enhanced virtual machine lifecycle management by allowing administrators to specify boot behavior at the VM level, improving operational consistency across environments. The implementation demonstrated end-to-end ownership, from backend logic to user interface integration, with a focus on business value and technical completeness within the project scope.
