Worked on the rustfs/rustfs repository to deliver Pod Annotations Customization in Helm Deployments, enabling users to inject custom metadata into pods at deployment time. Leveraged Helm and Kubernetes to allow configuration of pod annotations through .Values.podAnnotations in both Deployment and StatefulSet templates, streamlining observability and policy enforcement. Focused on Infrastructure as Code principles, the solution consolidated pod metadata management within Helm charts, reducing friction and standardizing deployment practices. The work was integrated through a disciplined process involving code reviews and CI alignment, resulting in enhanced deployment configurability and operational control without introducing new bugs during the development period.
